Synopsis[]
At the children's insistence, The Babysitting Club is participating in the Morinomiya Culture Festival with their very own vegetable-themed café. The fathers come to see their children's hard work.
Long Summary[]
Today is the day of Morinomiya Academy's culture festival, and the daycare center is setting up a juice stand because the children wanted to help out. Usaida tells Ryuuichi that people will feel discouraged from visiting the juice stand because he wrote a warning that the children may spill the juice. Ryuu wonders why Usaida sewed vegetable costumes for the kids as he watches Kotaro fail at carrying the juice without falling over. Taka bumps into Takuma and Kazuma, causing them to fall over. The only one who can carry the juice without spilling it is Kirin. Ryuu compliments Usaida's skill at sewing and making costumes while Usaida hangs up a poster showing information about a cosplay contest.
Usaida then hands Ryuu a corn costume, telling him that he has also sewn him one. He says that he made a pepper costume for Inomata, but she has to attend an English lecture. Usaida tells Ryuu that the children's fathers will come to see them. Kirin excitedly says that her father will come to see her. Usaida admits that he has only met Kousuke and is amused that Ryuu put on the corn costume without hesitation. Ryuu and Taka look at each other for a moment, and Ryuu asks Usaida if there will be any dads that will not be attending. Just then, Yayoi appears behind Ryuu, causing him to fall over. Takuma starts kicking at Ryuu, who struggles to get up. Taka then starts to roll him around in an attempt to help him get up. As he is rolling, Kotaro lies down and rolls along with him. Usaida amusingly records the moment on his phone. Hayato opens the door, explaining that he has free time, but he is cut short when he notices that there is a giant corn in the way. Ryuu begs Hayato to help him up. After, Ryuu asks Yayoi if she has a drama club event, to which she replies that she will have to get back to that soon. Kirin tears up and asks if her mother will not be there to watch her. Yayoi apologizes and comforts her, saying that her father will be in her place to watch Kirin. Yayoi asks Ryuu and the others to do her a favor regarding her husband, and Ryuu agrees. Meanwhile, Yayoi's husband approaches two female students with a bouquet of flowers and asks them to show him the way to the daycare center while offering two flowers. Inui thinks about Yukari as a bearded man approaches him and asks him to show him to the daycare center. A group of female students walk around looking for Kousuke, who is hiding behind a bush and crying and determined to go see his sons. However, Takuma and Kazuma are not thinking about their father but rather exciteded to see Hayato.mi
Kirin's father, Satoru, enters the room and announces that he has come to see his daughter. Kirin calls out to her father, who immediately starts taking pictures with his camera. He tells her that he will not be able to eat carrots after seeing how cute Kirin is. He then turns to Yayoi and gives her the flowers. He apologizes for making her lonely because he is busy with work, to which she replies that she will never be lonely as long as she has Kirin. Yayoi suggests that he greet the babysitters at the daycare center, and he smiles, eager to meet the female babysitters that she had told him about. Usaida, in a false voice, introduces the three babysitters as Usako, Ryuuko, and Hayako. Satoru smiles and goes out to shake Usaida's hand but suddenly slaps his hand, exclaiming that he is clearly a guy. Usaida jokingly addresses him as a father while Satoru demands Yayoi why the babysitter is a guy. However, Yayoi has gone off to her club. Satoru looks down at the children and see that there are boys among them. Midori clings onto Satoru's leg while Kirin explains that Midori is a girl. Satoru compliments her large, round eyes and tells her that if he were thirty years younger, he would ask for her hand in marriage. He then faces the boys and ask him what they think of Kirin. Takuma, Kazuma, and Kotaro all agree that they like Kirin, but Taka sticks out his tongue at her. Kirin says that she does not like Taka either because he is mean. Satoru becomes upset that there are boys who like her and boys that do not like her. He holds Kirin and Midori and begins to exit the room when Ryuu, still wearing his wig, asks him to stop. He assures Satoru that the children are just close friends and that Usaida takes care of them all very well. Satoru holds Ryuu's hand and tells him that if he were fifteen years younger, he would marry him. Satoru then comments that Ryuu's voice is quite deep for a girl's voice. Midori grabs onto Ryuu's wig and pulls it off his head. Satoru, seeing that Ryuu is actually a guy, says that he will be leaving. Ryuu tells Hayato to say something, so he glares at Satoru, telling him that he should quickly go home if he wants to as he is quite annoying. Hayato does not even try to hide his super deep voice, but Satoru mistakens him for a girl anyways and holds his hand, also telling him that he would like to propose to him. Hayato says that there is something wrong with his brain while Usaida wonders why he was the only one who was exposed. Hayato yanks off his wig and complains that it is stuffy. Kirin starts to cry and asks her father if he will watch her carry juice, as she has worked hard. Satoru hugs Midori and Kirin and agrees to stay. Just then, a bearded man with a death glare asks why Satoru has been holding Midori. Satoru apologizes and introduces himself as Kirin's father, but he is shocked since he saw what appeared to be a look with murderous intent. The bearded man introduces himself as Midori's father, Sawatari Yutaka, which surprises Inui. He asks Ryuu if that is really her father, but Usaida puts the wig on him, confusing Inui, who takes his hand off his shoulder. Yukari greets her husband and asks Inui if he is here to see the juice stand as well. Inui explains that he was only showing Yutaka the way and quickly leaves. He feels embarrassed since he is single, but thinks back to Ryuu in a wig and notes that "she" was very cute.
Kirin carries juice to her father and proudly announces that she is the only one who can carry the juice properly. Satoru praises her and accepts the juice. He explains to everyone that it seems like it was yesterday when Kirin was an infant who could not even walk. He knows that she will become an adult in no time and will be married to a man who will snatch her away. He starts to tear up and causes Yutaka and Kousuke to cry too. Ryuu consoles them, saying that they are looking too far ahead. Kotaro slowly brings juice to Ryuu, who thinks about how much time has passed. Saikawa, who is standing behind Ryuu, claps and praises Kotaro. He informs Ryuu that the chairwoman has matters to attend to and unfortunately cannot attend. He assumes that the chairwoman feels bad about it, as he saw the regret in her eyes.
Satoru offers to take a photo for commemoration so the chairwoman can see it. He offers to do it for free as the babysitters take care of Kirin. Ryuu thanks him, but Satoru reminds him that he still does not trust men. Everyone gets close together as Satoru takes the photo. Ryuu asks Hayato why his father is not here today. He says that they can wait for him to come. Hayato explains that ever since he and Taka's parents divorced, there was never really a father in their family. He tells Ryuu to pay no mind to his father but also informs him that he is someone that Ryuu knows, which stuns Ryuu. As he explains, Satoru takes the commemoration photo.
