Long Summary[]

Ch66Image1

The Babysitting Club takes a trip to the creek.

The male members of the daycare center travel in cars to a riverbank, and Ryuuichi, Taka, and Kotaro excitedly view the scenery through the window. Usaida, who is driving, comments that Taka is finally out of his mood, as he had been upset that Hayato could not come with them due to Baseball Club activities. Suekichi and Kichi eagerly ask their brother if they can go swimming, and Chuukichi calmly replies that there will be a place where they can swim. He sits next to Usaida and navigates him, as he is a better navigator than the GPS. Following the car, Yagi navigates Asahi, who is driving, telling him to follow Chuukichi. Kousuke holds Takuma and Kazuma, but both he and Kazuma have nervous expressions. Asahi and Yagi turn around to comment on the scenery, and Kousuke begs Asahi to look forward as he is driving.

Everyone runs to the creek to play while Kousuke and Kazuma stay to rest.

The group arrives in an empty parking lot, and Usaida and Chuukichi begin to unpack. Kousuke and Kazuma violently puke due to motion sickness from Asahi's reckless driving as Ryuu asks if they are alright. Suekichi and Kichi eagerly ask to go to the riverbank as Yagi records them while suffering from a nosebleed. Kousuke apologizes and tells them to go on first while he and Kazuma rest for a bit. Usaida gives Kousuke his car keys as Kousuke explains that his own keys are with Asahi. Kousuke asks Ryuu to take Takuma with him, but Takuma insists that he stays until his father and brother recover. Kousuke, touched, tears up, and Yagi records the twins, asking if he can stay as well. Chuukichi threatens to call the police on Yagi.

Usaida, Chuukichi, and Yagi bring ointments and repellents to combat the mosquitoes.

Suddenly, Ryuu hears screams by the riverbank, and he sprints towards Taka and Kotaro. Ryuu asks Taka what happened, and Taka bawls as he sits on the ground with Kotaro, wailing that his mosquito bites are itchy. Asahi goes into character, saying that he will defeat the mosquitos. He swats all the mosquitoes on Taka's body and brags to Ryuu that he has killed several mosquitoes. However, Taka begins crying out of shock. Ryuu comforts him, explaining that Asahi was only trying to get rid of the mosquitoes. Asahi goes back in character and faces the mosquitoes in the air, prepared to kill them. Usaida jokingly pretends to be a hero as well. He holds up insect repellent, and Yagi and Chuukichi hold up mosquito-repelling incense and anti-itch cream and spray. Chuukichi spreads cream on Kotaro's bites, although Kotaro has not realized that he is itching. Some other kids at the riverbank stare at Asahi, and Usaida wonders if they recognize him. Asahi greets the kids, but they believe that he is simply someone pretending to be the person they thought he was.

Ch66Image4

Kotaro collects rocks for everyone while Yagi suffers from a nosebleed.

Suekichi and Kichi enter the water for a swim as Chuukichi prepares to follow them into the river. Ryuu, Taka, and Kotaro plan to play together as well. Usaida yawns and decides to take a nap. Yagi holds out his video camera while Asahi says that he will flirt with girls. Usaida thinks to himself that he should have dragged Hayato along with them. Meanwhile, Hayato's teammates ask if he has a summer cold as Hayato sneezes. Later, Kousuke and the twins run towards Ryuu. Taka holds up a rock, saying he will give it to Hayato. Kotaro holds an entire armful of rocks, and Ryuu asks what he will do with all of them. Kotaro puts down each rock individually as he assigns them to different people like the chairwoman and Saikawa.

Ch66Image5

The children are excited to catch fish.

Usaida looks at his watch and figures that it is time to eat some lunch. He asks Kousuke for the keys as he prepares to retrieve curry ingredients from the car. Kousuke checks his pockets but realizes that he does not have his keys. He immediately starts bawling, saying that he is stupid, since he had locked them in the car. Asahi tries to cheer him up with a funny face. Ryuu asks if they will be able to go home. Usaida says that he has called road service, who informed him that the high volume of service requests that day would delay them. He states that the biggest problem is that they cannot have lunch. Suekichi and Kichi come running towards the car, exclaiming that they are hungry. The children's stomachs grumble as well. Seeing the children hungry, Kousuke starts crying again. Asahi fills Chuukichi in on what happened, and Chuukichi quickly deduces that they will not get to have lunch anytime soon since road service may take a while due to the traffic this time of year. But he goes on to say that all is not lost, pointing to a sign advertising catching and grilling fish as an alternative lunch plan. Kousuke, determined, decides to catch enough fish for everyone to eat. Usaida tells him not to get worked up, as he is also quite good at fishing, and Chuukichi and Yagi say that they have fished before as well. The children eagerly await fishing.

Ch66Image6

Kousuke succeeds in catching a fish.

The group catch plenty of fish using poles and their bare hands. Asahi and Yagi use their charms to convince some mothers to give them some onigiri and corn. Another fisher instructs Kousuke on how to corner the fish for easier catching. They all sit together as they grill fish and eat their lunch. At the end of the day, Asahi realizes that he has also left his keys in Kousuke's car, but the road service company was fortunately able to turn back quickly to aid them.

Taka offers Hayato his rock, but Hayato refuses, asking why he would want a rock.
