Synopsis[]
Yayoi recalls when she first met Satoru at a theatre festival. Although Satoru is quite flirty around women, he had a different first experience with Yayoi.
Long Summary[]
At the daycare center, Satoru compliments the female teachers' attractiveness, wishing that he were a student so he could be taught my such beautiful ladies. He notices that Shizuka is wearing different earrings and comments that she looks sexy. He also compliments Umi's newly cut fringe, saying that she is much cuter. Shizuka and Umi are incredibly flattered, with Umi saying that even Kousuke had not noticed, much to Kousuke's surprise. Kousuke trembles in Satoru's presence because he is such a smooth talker. Usaida lolls around as he sees that Satoru is flirty around women as usual. He asks Yayoi if she is bothered by it. She smiles and replies that she thinks it is good that he treats women well and figures that is has something to do with his line of work. As a cameraman, Satoru frequently flatters the models. Yayoi looks at Kirin as she recalls that when the two first met, he never offered her any compliments.
In a flashback to when the two first met, Yayoi accepts several compliments for her performance at the Morinomiya University Play Festival. Many other women tell her that she is wasting her talent if she is pursuing a career in education and bring up rumors that directors scouted her for movies. Satoru scratches his head as he comments that Yayoi is being praised despite a rather mediocre performance. A man, presumably Satoru's colleague, apologizes, claiming that he only brought him here because he needed a subject for his photography contest entry. Satoru looks away as he admits that Yayoi is rather pretty but dislikes her lack of passion. He even goes so far to say that it is a shame that Yayoi calls herself an actress.
He immediately goes over to another actress and enthusiastically compliments her performance, amazed at her improvised part and small gestures. Yayoi sees that Satoru really did look into each person in detail. Yayoi remembers that even though he never looked her way, he came to see every single play for the next three days. On the last day, Yayoi looks at Satoru during the applause. He appears disappointed and sullen, but after a pause, he begins clapping. At the sight of Satoru's applause, Yayoi's eyes widen and she smiles. Satoru blushes as he stops clapping right away.
In the present, Yayoi recalls that she was sad when Satoru stopped clapping, but Kirin jumps up, saying that she will clap her hands for her. Satoru nervously asks why Yayoi is telling a story from a long time ago, and Usaida notes that Satoru said harsh words but still attended every play. Satoru shakes Kousuke by the collar as he blushes and exclaims that it was love at first sight. Shizuka sighs, saying that he is quite awkward and shy when he is seriously in love. Satoru laments that he treated Yayoi badly.
To this day, Satoru becomes flustered when Yayoi makes the first move. Kirin sleeps in her mother's lap as Yayoi leans on Satoru's shoulder, causing him to panic and blush.
