Synopsis[]
Kirin and the others decide to play house, so Usaida assigns the roles. He assigns Ushimaru to be the mother and Ryuuichi to be the father, making both very flustered. However, Ushimaru, seeing how affectionate Kotaro is to Ryuu, decides to change roles.

Kirin loves to play house.
Every toddler has a favorite game: Taka likes playing heroes, Takuma and Kazuma like playing tag, Kotaro likes reading picture books, and Midori likes to pull on Usaida's hair. Finally, Kirin enjoys playing house, and today, everyone is playing house with her. Kirin pretends to make a vegetable curry for dinner and uses a toy knife to try to cut a toy piece of cake. Usaida, who is playing as the baby asks why she has a piece of cake if she is making curry while playing with Midori. Kirin tells Kotaro, the older brother, to tell Ryuu, the little brother, to come for dinner. Takuma holds onto Ryuu's back and meows, saying he is the kitten. Kotaro pats his legs, asking Ryuu to sit on them as the little brother would sit on the older brother's legs when they read a storybook together. Ryuu explains that he is too big to sit on his legs and addresses Kotaro as the older brother. Taka, who is playing as the father, complains, saying he wants to act as an older brother. He goes over to Hayato, who claims to be playing the part of a telephone pole. Kazuma sits on Hayato's lap and also claims to be a kitten. Kirin calls everyone over for dinner and scolds Ryuu when he fails to address her as the mother. As Ryuu says "mama," Ushimaru and Inomata enter the room, and Ryuu becomes quite embarrassed. He panics and explains the situation. Inomata is unfazed, as she does not care about the game. Ushimaru blushes, thinking about how cute Ryuu looks when he is shy. Kirin's eyes sparkle as she asks Ushimaru and Inomata to play house with them. Inomata becomes flustered since she has never played house before.

Usaida decides to assign roles to everyone now that they have two more people and denies Hayato the role to play a telephone pole. Kirin and Taka excitedly ask to be the sister and older brother respectively, so Usaida gives them those roles. He makes Ryuu the father and Ushimaru the mother. Hayato is chosen to be the grandmother and Inomata, the grandfather. Takuma and Kazuma become Kirin and Taka's little brothers. He makes himself, Midori, and Kotaro neighbors. Kotaro becomes saddened when he realizes that he is not in the same family as Ryuu. All of a sudden, Saikawa opens the daycare room window and declares that it is too cruel to separate Kotaro and Ryuu. Ryuu, stunned, asks Saikawa if he has work and assures Kotaro that they are just playing a simple game. Meanwhile, Ushimaru's heart is pounding since she gets to be Ryuu's wife. She whispers to Inomata, saying that they can switch if Inomata would like to be the mother. Inomata sternly replies that she will do her best to fulfill the role of the grandfather. She adds on that playing the role of the mother with a "certain person" will make her uneasy. Ushimaru notes that Inomata is very adorable and blushes uncontrollably. She pictures adult versions of herself and Ryuu. In her mental image, she is wearing an apron and holding Kotaro and welcomes Ryuu, who is wearing a suit, home. Taka stares at Ushimaru, who stares back. Taka picks his nose and swallows his snot, which stuns Ushimaru.
Ryuu blushes as he attempts to address Ushimaru by her first name.
When Ryuu addresses Ushimaru by her name, Kirin insists that he use the proper title. Ryuu thinks of how Kousuke and Satoru address their wives and blushes as he calls Ushimaru by her first name. Ushimaru also blushes and falls over while Ryuu apologizes for using her first name. Hayato and Usaida, who are playing their roles seriously, disapprove of him using Ushimaru's first name. Ushimaru, flustered, lies that she is only feeling a bit anemic and is not bothered with playing such a role. She sees that Kotaro is holding onto Ryuu. Ushimaru decides that even though they are simply playing a game, it is still too much for her and Inomata. She holds Kotaro's hand and tells him that she will give her role to him, saying that for the mother, the father is very special. Kotaro's eyes sparkle as the other children hug him, saying that they love the "mother" too.

Ryuu thanks Ushimaru for supposedly pretending to faint to take in Kotaro's feelings while Hayato states that she was not pretending. Kirin helps Kotaro prepare a dinner while Hayato instructs Kotaro to clean better, thinking to himself that he is playing the role of the mother-in-law. Inomata takes out a Go board, determined to completely absorb herself into the grandfather role. Ushimaru, who has the role of the grandfather's friend, tells her that there is no need to be so serious about the game. Saikawa, who is playing Usaida's son, respectfully addresses Usaida as his father.
Kotaro holds up a plate with a toy flower on it, telling Ryuu that the food is ready. Ryuu thanks him as he reflects that no matter what they are playing or what happens in the future, Kotaro will always be his important little brother, and that will never change.
