Ushimaru Onii-kun is the older brother of Ushimaru Yuki.
Appearance[]
Ushimaru has bright, messy hair. His eyes, similar in appearance to his sister's, have prominent lashes on them. He's often dressed in wrinkly, loose-fitting clothes.
Personality[]
Ushimaru is a NEET. His goal in life is to avoid work and to have as much fun as possible, which doesn't sit well with his family. He believes that he can achieve his dream if he finds himself a hard-working wife willing to care for his every need.
Ushimaru has a high opinion of his own charm, confident that his looks overshadow his lazy personality.
History[]
For an undetermined amount of time, the Ushimaru siblings have lived together away from their mother. It was expected that Ushimaru Onii-kun grow up and start job-hunting, but he never could be bothered. His meager efforts went into romantic pursuits, but even then he'd prefer to wait for a sign to come to him.
Around a certain New Year's day, he found a peculiar card addressed to his sister. It was from a friend of hers named Inomata Maria, but it had a refined and mature formatting that it seemed to have been written by a traditional Japanese lady. Ushimaru was consumed by a determination to meet Inomata and woo her into becoming his wife. He asked Yuki to introduce her to him, but she informed him that their mother were threatening to cut him off from his allowance in order to push him into finding a job. This threat to his carefree lifestyle frightened him, but Yuki promised to talk to their mom whilst also helping her brother find employment that suited him. A difficult endeavor, considering that Ushimaru-kun didn't even know what a resume was.[1]

Ushimaru-kun's mother disapproves of him being a habitual slacker. She had paid for his expenses for some time, but was seriously considering stopping the flow of money in order to compel him to change his ways.
Ushimaru Yuki[]
Overall, Ushimaru-kun gets along well with his sister. But his immature behavior is the source of plenty of friction between them. Yuki does her best to put up with him and help him realize his potential.
Ushimaru-kun once said that he was much cuter than she was, but she didn't feel the need to engage in this competition.
Others[]
Inomata Maria[]
As stated, Ushimaru has been enamored with Inomata even before he met her. He got the chance to meet her when she and young Kirin came to visit his home without his prior knowledge. He didn't leave the best first impression, given that the first thing he did before introducing himself and proposing to Maria was to frighten Kirin. It seems that Ushimaru has failed to realize he didn't woo Inomata at all.[2]
