Usokawa is a classmate of Ryuuichi and Hayato. He is overly fixated on getting a girlfriend.

He has light-colored hair and wears glasses—his eyes themselves are very rarely visible.[2]

He is a source of comic relief, appearing throughout the series mainly to lament being single. He is desperate to get a girlfriend, particularly liking classmate Yuki.
History[]
His first major role in the series is when he tries to record a video of the children in order to win the grand prize of a contest.[3]
Trivia[]
- Usokawa's name spelled in reverse, 川嘘 (kawauso), means river otter.
- The "uso" in his name also means "lie."
